Way of the Cross Project PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The Way of the Cross trail is almost complete. This project added another place where our guests can come and enjoy the peace of their Lord.

This project will be a testament of Jesus' journey that saves us from our sins.  It will provide faithful travelers a strengthening of faith and give homage to Jesus for His passion and death suffered for us.  The trail is 650 yards long - the estimated distance distance that Jesus carried the cross.  The figure at the beginning of the trail of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane was installed in 2017, after being blessed by Archbishop Emeritus Edlen F. Curtiss on March 28, 2013.  The cross for each station is installed on the trail, along with a bench and kneeler, with an area representing Jesus's tomb at the end.  In the future, signage for the stations will be installed.
